Product Description
The AlphaLift Mobility Lifter provides smooth transfer of a person from their wheelchair to a passenger vehicle seat.
It incorporates five main compenents: A speedyBar Mount, parralift electric lifter, pendant controller, articulated swivel arm and lifting harness/sling.
The SpeedyBar mount attaches to the vehicles door hinge and is what the parralift electric lifter is connected to. SpeedyBars are unique to each vehicle which needs to be specified at the time of order.
The Parralift Electric Lifter is a height adjustable arm that uses a parrellelogram linkage at each end to ensure the lifting point remains perpendicular through its range of motion. It is robustly constructed out of lightweight aluminium. It incorporates a powerful whisper quiet electric linear actuator and pendant controller to raise and lower the arm.
The articulated swivel arm provides the ultimate manoeuvrability when transferring a person from their wheelchair to the passenger seat.
The lifting harness/sling is specially designed with multiple connection points to suit individual needs. Fitting the sling requires minimal effort and simply fits down the back and under the legs while seated.
SpeedyBar (Comes with the purchase of the AlphaLift)
The Aluminium SpeedyBar is placed over the door hinges which are mechanically the strongest part of the vehicle. It becomes the anchor point to which the Parralift Electric Lifter part will be attached.
Paralift Electric Lifter
The Parralift Electric Lifter is attached to the SpeedyBar pivot points so that it can be swivelled from side-to-side for alignment. The lifter uses a parallelogram linkage system and electric linear actuator to raise and lower the arm.
Pendant Controller
Pendant controller with extension cable uses momentary switches to raise and lower the arm. The arm moves in the direction of the arrows and will stop when the button is released.
Articulated Swivel Arm
The articulated swival arm is a key component of the Alphalift. It allows the user to be easily and comfortably manoeuvred through the door opening and to the seat.
Lifting Harness/Sling
The lifting harness/sling can be fitted to the user whilst seated and is specially designed for strength and comfort. It fits down the back and under the legs and makes it easy to lift and shift a person.
